Piano tuning and repair

I tune and repair all types of pianos, including grand pianos, spinets, uprights, and consoles. I even service classic electric models like Wurlitzers and Rhodes tine pianos from the 1960's and 1970s. Services include regulation, key recovering, string replacement, pin replacement, hammer shaping, action refurbishment, and refinishing.

A standard tuning is $110. A normal tuning takes between 60 and 90 minutes. Some pianos that have not been tuned in many years will need a "pitch raise" in order for them to hold a new tuning. This entails two to three quick tunings in succession, followed by the final fine tuning. This process usually takes about three hours. A pitch raise is $175 and saves multiple return trips every few weeks to re-tune the piano.

Minor repairs and adjustments are included in the tuning price. Any other needed repairs will be discussed at the appointment.
