Piano tuning and repair
I tune and repair all types of pianos, including regulation, key recovering, string replacement, pin replacement, hammer shaping, action refurbishment, and refinishing.
Tuning fees run from $90 to $125 if a major pitch raise is indicated. A normal tuning takes between 60 and 90 minutes. Some pianos that have not been tuned in many years will need a pitch raise in order for them to become stable holding a new tuning. This entails two to three quick tunings in succession, followed by the fine tuning. This can usually be done in under three hours.
Minor repairs and adjustments are usually included in the tuning price. Any other needed repairs will be discussed at the appointment.
